Process of increasing search engine traffic to the business’s website or a web page from search engines. SEO targets unpaid traffic originating from different kinds of searches, including image search, video search, academic search news search, and industry-specific vertical search engines.

One of the major things, that SEO works on is the Algorithm. Along with this a few of the most important things about how SEO works is:

  • Content indexing - To know what the site content is all about is by include alt text for images and text transcripts for video and audio content.
  • Link structure - For the search engines to “crawl” the site structure easily and to find all the content on the site. It is important to use format links, URLs, and sitemaps to make them most accessible to site crawlers.
  • Keywords and keyword targeting - the search terms you want your site to be found for are the Keywords, that are deployed in the content and headers is one of the fundamental building blocks of SEO.  Writing high-quality content that uses keywords in the headers and a few times in the crawl-able page content is now considered better practice, and will make pages rank better in search results.
